Summary / Overview:

The mission of Material Technology is to provide SAS FAB with the highest quality raw materials & analysis in the world. We do this through the provision of a world class Analysis Lab & Raw Materials program. Our Supervisor (TR) will have direct supervision of a team of 8+ highly skilled engineers with direct ownership of global supplier management & development in conjunction with our counterparts in Korea. Team is responsible for all gases, precursors, CMP, targets, wafers & patterning materials. Will be directly involved in interaction and management of multiple material suppliers in areas such as quality adherence, supply chain management, technical support, PCN improvements, root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action implementation.

Responsible for quality of incoming raw materials to SAS site, including but not limited to:

  • Initiate, lead and participate in cross-functional teamwork with various groups on site such as Fab engineering, Purchasing, Facilities, Analysis Lab, and Manufacturing to resolve issues.

  • Develop, understand and document cradle to grave understanding of materials including their manufacturing processes and final use in FAB.

  • Proactively implement material quality improvements closely working with suppliers, counterparts in Korea, and SAS FAB engineering teams.

  • Drive material related FAB investigations; provide material understanding and interactions with FAB processing.

  • Work with suppliers to identify future improvements (roadmap) to stay ahead of the curve for driving 1x nodes and beyond.

  • Qualifications of new materials and changes including new supplier selections & supplier process change notifications.

  • Development, optimization, and execution of department KPI and team responsibilities.

Necessary Skills / Attributes

  • Requires a minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science or an equivalent discipline.

  • Requires 7+ years related experience, 3+ years leadership experience

  • Requires supplier management and development experience. Semiconductor FAB experience is preferred.

  • Requires proven background in risk assessment, data analysis and problem solving techniques.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and commitment to deadlines in fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in managing and developing professional staff.

  • Preferred experience in Electronics grade material industry.
