If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing administrative and technical assistance in information technology; automated litigation support, facilities, and other administrative needs of the United States Attorney's Office, Western District of Texas. Typical work assignments will include:
- Providing IT assistance in resetting network passwords, editing file and folder permissions and other basic information technology tasks.
- Providing support assistance and training with various computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Providing IT setup and assistance to legal staff in trial preparation and during trial.
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer hardware/software; resolve interface and interoperability issues.
- Verifying personal identification data against authorized documents, processing requests and issuing identification cards. Performing registrar tasks associated with the Personal Identification Verification (PIV) program.
- Assist with office inventory and maintenance, relocation and receipt of office equipment.
- Assist with office telecommunication needs Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

To be eligible at the GS-7 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing routine and recurring support assistance to IT Specialists and users; troubleshooting customer problems; customer assistance and/or training.
